Done!
Does it matter if I forgot to include my email? I couldn’t fix after submitting.
@TechnoViking Do you want to get an email about a bottle that may be on the way?
Clear your cookies and try again.
@rjquillin ah, thank you kind sir! Fixed!
Would like to be Lab Rat for a white, any white. Have been drinking since the Graham Kerr, Galloping Gourmet days. The precurser to all the current less entertaining foodie shows and contests on TV. Em Evenstevensone@aol.com.
Would be great to be a LabRat again, as I was in the WW years. Wouldn’t mind some Brandini also, lol.
@mschauber
Sadly, doubt they will be back. Although they show up at local Costco stores every yea.r
Filled it out, love the site, keep looking for feedback, that’s part of what makes you guys worth supporting.
Done!
@MarkDaSpark important to have the MT Rushmore’s chime in!
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 As an old-timer, if you would like me to rat, then just send more to Mark.
(And remember, if it’s a Petite Sirah coming up, then Mark may be the sole surviving obsessed…)
@MarkDaSpark @TimothyB noted!
Survey done. Loved being a rat for the first time and looking forward (hopefully) to more of it!
Would love to be a Lab Rat, and filled in and submitted my info., but…What the heck does Pro or Con Trump have to do with wine? Seems very suspicious to me. Please do explain!
@FritzCat
I don’t remember that question being part of the survey?
@chipgreen @FritzCat April fool’s?
Everything that goes wrong today was definitely part of the plan.
I’m in!!
Got mine done a few days ago, while sipping some yummy Prosecco in Italy
@mommadeb You’re in Italy??!! Isn’t school in session yet??
@bahwm We went during our spring break. I took a few extra days. I did not want to come home
THANK YOU current and future lab rats. I know that I’ll ever be capable of lab rat status but I feel the need to thank all of you that are. It’s embarrassing to say at my age that Im new to the wine game and my daughters know more then I but because of your reviews feel I have a better understanding of the wines I’d like to try and know what to look for. So cheers to the lab rats! Your changing palettes one glass at a time!
@candiedisilvio1 Thanks!
I’ve been lucky enough to be a lab rat once. I’d certainly like the opportunity to rat again.
I’m a little confused about this process. Were we supposed to sign up? I was under the impression that the Kickstarter folks were automatically entered into the lab rat swimming pool.
@jrbw3 as it says for current and new rats. It looks to be an update.
I received a bottle today at about 3:30pm. I had no idea it was coming and just happened to be home when Fedex rang the bell. I am always happy to lab rat, but here are a few suggestions to the senders:
Thanks again for the opportunity and when will I get that email?
@jmdavidson1 I can only speak for myself. I’ve received notice, I can track with my FedEx account, and the day was in the email notice when to post.
@jmdavidson1 @jml326 For some, it appears @WineDavid49 and @ArianaWCC have been given email addresses recipients don’t regularly monitor. A post from MdS cites this as an issue he had with a rat bottle. Not saying this is/was the cause in this case, but it’s something to consider.
For the rat bottle or two I’ve received, in at least one case I did get an advance email but had to follow up to obtain the offer date.
I know WD is abroad, but maybe someone in the know can find out when the wine I received will be offered.
@jmdavidson1
I would send an email to ariana@winecountryconnect.com
@chipgreen I see now that the bottle I received is one of today’s Meeker zins. Off to work, so the rattage will have to wait until tonight.
@chipgreen @jmdavidson1 Lunch, man!
Rat it for lunch…
@rjquillin My job takes me away from a desk/home, so it’ll be tonight. And no drinking while on duty, which in this case involves driving. Patience!
One thing I would suggest (for all potential labrats) is to sign up with FedEx to receive alerts whenever a shipment is initiated (as well as to be delivered the next day, the day of delivery, and actual delivery). It has been my first notice of when I was going to be receiving an unexpected wine, and also allows you to redirect the shipment to be held at a nearby location in the event that you may not be at home to receive it.
I also was, apparently, a rat for the Meeker offer. Thing is, molarchae and I were in Europe for the last 9 days. So I get home and see the single-bottle package and then see the ship date was last Friday.
I am always happy to rat - I quite enjoy it! But an email before the package is sent is essential to make sure the intended rat can actually do the job. Of course, this should come along with the offer date as well.
@WineDavid49 @ariannaWCC
Bumping this string to the top! Most people have received Lab Rat bottles so far, and we are looking for any new folks who wish to join! Until then, I hope everyone currently on the list is looking forward to receiving more wine.

@arianaWCC “Looking forward” would be an understatement. Receiving that email from you and anxiously waiting to discover what’s in the package is just as exciting (if not more so) as opening a gift on Christmas morning! Especially if it ends up being a dessert wine! But anything red is much appreciated as well. Thanks again to you, WD, and the entire Casemates crew for all that you do!
@arianaWCC Always looking forward to lab rat bottles! (Except this week and the week of Sept 9 when I’ll be out of town.)
