@corrado can this be moved to the gatherings forum? or should we start over with the dallas thread that is there now (https://casemates.com/forum/topics/dallas#5a5de87483d5370fb01ce380)
Either way, I will tag everyone I have seen identify as DFW in one of the threads so we can start getting this area organized.
@MSUMike Thanks! Feel like this could be dangerous. Going to have to repeat daily: “Do not spend daycare funds on wine. Do not spend daycare funds on wine.”

If you are interested to come out and try come great tastings in Dallas. Check out Sigels. every week they have a tasting with over 10 wines from different vineyards. Last week was 13 different Pinot Noirs… was amazing.
This week is another winemaker from Sonoma county. Rhône varietals, Red Blends, and Single Vineyard Zinfandels that are unapologetic. Jeff Cohn marries his passion for classic Rhône winemaking with a spirited California sense of innovation to craft bold and elegant wines that showcase our passion, pride and sense of place.
12 different wines. It’s like visiting there tasting room for free!
Come check it out at
Sigel’s-Fitzhugh (3209 N Fitzhugh)
Wednesday, May 9th 5-7pm
Next week is French Rose’s! 15 different ones from 2016 and 2017 on Wednesday, May 16th from 5-7pm at Sigel’s-Greenville (5757 Greenville Avenue)
@MSUMike I think I’ll talk to management @ Sigel’s and let them know you are working as their marketing manager for free tastings. Tell them this will be your night job… Oh and by the way - how do you know when they are having wine tastings? Are you opted in for texts/emails?
@hey_zeus Haha I’m just trying to share the info… If it was only 2-3 wines, I wouldn’t be so excited about it. But to be able to basically take a free trip to a California tasting room… taste 10-15 wines, while talking with the Owner… It’s pretty impressive and I want to support it.
You can look at the Upcoming Calendar (they only update this a week or 2 in advance…after the emails are sent out) AND sign up for e-mail alerts here. You will then find out about Liquor tastings also if that’s your thing. Last week they did 13 different Scotch’s. was so interesting.
@texashaze and I live in East Texas (Sulphur Springs) but we come to Arlington most weekends. Just put in a request to join the FB group. Would love to split some cases sometime and do some meet ups.
@texaashaze and I will be attending a Wine Dinner featuring Lodi wines on April 3rd (Wednesday) at 6pm. It is at Cafe Modern at the Modern Art Museum in Ft. Worth. It will be featuring wines from Acquiesce, Klinker Brick, Lange Twins, Michael David, and Oak Farm. These were all places we visited on last year’s RPM Wine Tour. They have a limited amount of spots, but I think it is 200. $200/plate.
They will also be featuring some Lodi wines at the Ft. Worth Food and Wine Festival on Friday. Also, there is a winemaker’s dinner and private concert by Lee Roy Parnell on Saturday, April 5th. Outdoor setting, Old Quail Run Farm. I think it is $100 a ticket, 100 tickets available. We haven’t decided if we will be attending this as well. Same wineries will be pouring here as well.
Sounds like a great weekend! We are wine club members with Acquiesce (fantastic whites!) and heard about it from their email. We’d love to meet up with any fellow Casematers/Wine Wooters who might attend!
Anyone in Fort Worth interested in sharing?
@jeffyedwards Yes! I have been looking for this hoping there would be a group in the area.
@jeffyedwards Yep. North Fort Worth near Alliance airport. Happy to split a case once in a while.
I will do little purchasing, my bank account is praying.
But would consider, on occasion. In FW.
There ought to be a pretty decent interest level in DFW.
Are you limiting to FW? Or do you want the topic title edited to include “Dallas/Fort Worth area”
If so, @corrado could fix that, I think.
Ahhhh, well we could include Dallas I suppose! Yeah Dallas is not a problem.
@jeffyedwards
@Corrado:
Per the OP’s consent, above:
Can you fix the title/body of this topic to seek for Dallas/Fort Worth area people, not just FW?
Or a N Central Texas group?
(Surely Waco & Denton have someone )
After a better critical mess develops, people may be able to fine-tune on proximity more precisely.
But for starters … A wide net?
@f00l Wide net it is. All y’all can create offshoots if “N Central Texas” is too much Texas to handle.
@corrado
Native?
@f00l Best friend from Kansas. I even make the little lasso-motion she makes with her finger when she says it.
