I am not going to look back at all the offerings, but I get the general feeling that reds pop up about 2-3x as often as whites, with dessert wines showing up more often than sparkling wines.
That format works for me. (I could go for more bubbles, but beggars can’t be choosers.)
I’d like to see more non-traditional wines. Expand some people’s palates and attract those who prefer plum wine to cabernet, ice wine to reisling, may wine to rose
One of the appeals of a site like this, for me, is finding things I might not otherwise try. Like, I can go to my local wine purveyor and get an acceptable $10 bottle of most common white wines. You’re only saving me the effort of bringing them home at that point. I love when I find varietals I haven’t tried, or blends I wouldn’t have thought to combine, or the styles I would walk past at the store and not notice. Like, back in January, I was on vacation in Hawaii, and I found sochu. Afterwards, I found the same bottle, roughly the same price, at my local liquor store. I would never have noticed it if I hadn’t rummaged the liquor store on vacation for things I’d never tried.
