This force carbonated bottle of bubbles offers up aromas of orange and pineapple juice which are nicely enhanced by the effervescence.
Our mermaids create Mermosa using Premium white wine and a splash of natural orange and pineapple juices for a refreshing, not-too-sweet finish. We handcraft our wines in the coastal range of the US where the Pacific Ocean maritime air currents shape the flavor profile of the grapes.
How to enjoy: Take it to the beach, on a hike, or bring it as a wedding or housewarming gift. Get your friends together and have a party!
Mermosa is inspired by our family’s original mermaid, Celestine Noisette, whose siren song set her free and inspired generations of strong voices and unstoppable spirits. Join us in a glass and embrace the beauty and power of your own inner mermaid.
Our Mission
Celebrate every Mermaid in the world.
Mer maid/ˈmərˌmād/ a wildly free, intoxicating being with a voice as powerful and beautiful as the ocean.
We use Premium grapes from Oregon and Washington State and harness expert Winemaking in the Willamette Valley, Oregon. We make Mermosa wines in the Van Duzer region where maritime air currents from the Pacific Ocean shape flavor profiles. Our wines are sea-kissed by these air currents, making them The Official Wine of Boats, Brunch and Beaches

When Alice reaches out and asks me to Rat it usually means something different is coming our way. Todays did not disappoint. I picked the package up from the lockers at my apartment complex and took it back to my unit and opened it. In there was a bottle of Mermosa and another casemates wine glass to add to my collection (almost didn’t see it). A wine made by mermaids it says with orange and pineapple and bubbles So I put it in the frig to get chilling.
I couldn’t let it get as cold as would have been ideal, but after fighting the cork (hurt my left upper arm awhile ago, getting PT for it and that cork did not want to come out, LOL) I poured a glass and then put the rest back in the frig to get even colder for tomorrow.
I found it light and bubbly and fruity without the fruit being overpowering, I couldn’t tell you what kind of fruit was in there if I didn’t already know. Unlike some fruit added wine I have had it was present but more subtle, not overpowering or sickening sweet.
I liked it and if Casemates was selling the cans, not the bottles, would have bought some. I think it is great with our hotter than hell So Cal weather. Too bad the closest place they sell it is Texas.
I forgot about it for a couple of days, but decided what the heck. The cap I put on it shot across the room, LOL, but it was still pleasant while not as carbonated as before. Very light and delicate and not overpowering.
Anywho, I’m off to sleep, too tired to even play with the Mehrethon over on Meh. Today was a PT day.
Hey all I also received a bottle to rat! My experience was basically the same as the above person, I was planning on mostly addressing questions I would have - this is definitely not overly sweet, I got faint hints of pineapple. That also means it’s not super fruity, kinda a mild fruity sparkler with a short finish. The fruit didn’t feel artificial, it was fresh and mellow. I liked it better as it warmed up, I think the flavors became more apparent. I could see this being a good beach / picnic wine, it’s low enough alcohol you won’t get sleepy from day drinking but you’ll drink it fast enough to get a nice buzz.
I didn’t look at the bottle and felt like this would be fine for a breakfast party or at the lake, so they are advertising their product perfectly!
Thanks for sending me another bottle to test, the UPS person was teasing me about the 25 bottles he dropped off today.

This offer reminds me of the earlier offers of Anne Amie Cuvée A Amrita. @Infrom introduced me to it and it was a fun and delish summer sparkler. My friends were shocked something that good came out of a popped bottle cap bottling! Can anyone recommend something similar?
Hi All-hope you are enjoying the offer. Feel free to throw out any questions you have on the wines production. The notes pretty much nail it. Fun, slightly sweet, easy to drink (low alc. too).
@Pinotwinemaker I’d call it a porch pounder, but that appears to be trademarked now.
Wish I could by the cans in CA. I am single, older and cannot finish a bottle if I tried. But I like this better than most of the other lighter fruity wines I have had (other than some meades, cause well i love meade. LOL

Apparently made by/a label of Wetzel Estate Winery
fwiw (nothing)
I’m a bit put off by the cutesy name and presentation, but the rats convinced me - yet again.
Besides, I’m getting low on sparklers.

@Pinotwinemaker Greetings - you need to get yourself a vintners banner.
[I ordered a six pack, looking forward to it.]

Hoping you can properly introduce yourself and function, while I work on a badge for you…

By the way, if you ask the Casemate fairies nicely, we do have this in cans. Would love to do a run of these for you all!
