Our quest to create the perfect pre-made Mimosa started in 2014. Everyone we talked to said it could not be done; that Mimosas are complex and too difficult to premake for the public. But we did not believe them. We searched California high and low for the best sourced white wine grapes, and after a year of searching we found our grapes in one of its finest wine counties. We combined different varieties of grapes, to create a proprietary blend wine with a perfect mix of tropical back notes and a sweet orange finish, that is both tasty and refreshing.
Once we perfected the wine, we began sampling every 100% natural juice to find the tastiest combinations.
Finally, in 2016, right here in wine country, the ideal combination of white wine and natural juice was blended together to create Mimosa Royale. Now you can enjoy a delicious, cold Mimosa Royale for any occasion, day or night, with no mess or waste. Just chill, turn the bottle over a couple times to mix, open, and enjoy. With so many amazing flavors to choose from, you’re sure to find a Mimosa Royale that you love!

Just pulled my 4 pack out of my fridge! Took me back to the 1980’s, with my big permed hair and my wine coolers, but with a little more sophistication!
Mimosa Royale offers a variety of flavors - apple, mango, orange and berry. I like that they are made with premium white wine and 100% real fruit juice. It’s labeled Gluten Free, which is important in our house hold!
They are light tasting with a little bubbliness to them. Very refreshing and would make a great grab in the cooler for a picnic or tailgating! Tried all four flavors, but berry was my favorite and mango came in 2nd. Be a little careful with these because the alcohol content is 8%. If you ever liked wine coolers, then give Mimosa Royale a try and enjoy!!
@jennyrenard@TimW Sorry for the delay. Each can is around 170 cal. Since we are an actual canned wine,.and not a wine cooler, we don’t need to put nutritional facts. Only ingredients are slightly carbonated wine and 100% all-natural juice.
Hey Everyone. I hope you enjoy our Mimosa Royale. Not only are we the “World’s First Ready to Drink Mimosa” but we are also the “World’s Most Awarded Flavored Wine”.
With No Artificial Colors or Flavors, No Sugar Added, Gluten Free, and 100% All Natural. You can enjoy every drink knowing you are drinking the best.
Each can of Mimosa Royale is around 170 calories and at 8% AbV.
This is not a low alcohol Wine Cooler but a refreshingly high abv Flavored Wine…CHEERS
@rjquillin Of Course. This is Jody Stafford. My husband and I own and make Mimosa Royale. We are a small family owned business slowly paving the way for the flavored wine industry. We are very excited about all our awards and what the future has to offer. As seltzers are on a decline, quality flavored beverages have become more in demand. People are tired of the over carbonated, lack of flavor, and low abv beverages that have flooded the market. So it has opened the door for our 100% All Natural RTD. Wine, Juice, and carbonation is our only ingredients.
I hope everyone enjoys
@scott0210 An interview/article in Napa Valley Life Magazine mentions a shelf life of one year. Maybe the producer can jump back on and confirm that and if this offer is fresh goods.
@kaolis@scott0210 Yes. We say one year but you are correct. It is Wine. No real shelf life. We make out Mimosa Royales using a proprietary Muscato Blend, 100% Natural Juice, and carbonation…that’s it.
@DebRVA@MimosaRoyale Yeah this would have been used up quickly back in my dorm! (Ironically, that was the 1980s, the age of Bartles & Jaymes which was jokingly mentioned here). Glad to know it sounds quite a bit different (and far better quality) than the “wine coolers” of the 80s-90s.
I was fortunate to receive a larger than expected rattage package containing Mimosa Royale!
It comes in cans that are slightly larger than standard beer cans, and each beverage has 8% alcohol, not shabby in the slightest.
In general, these would be perfect for a brunchy get together, or for anyone who wants their wine a little sweet. They have a lovely amount of bubbles to tickle your palate. I found the wine quality to be surprisingly good (no artificial weirdness on the nose or palate).
I drank these with a friend who loves Moscato and she said she preferred these to that. Hopefully this gives you an idea of the sweetness in this particular offering.
The 4 flavors are Orange, Apple, Mango, and Berry.
My Moscato friend’s favorite was the berry, it was a full berry flavor (I got more raspberry/blueberry than strawberry), and it was the sweetest in the bunch. It was a little too sweet for me as I prefer a drier wine.
As you can see in the image below, the berry has a slightly pinker hue, which is a lot of fun!
My favorite flavor was the Mango, it had a lovely mango flavor without a lot of residual sweetness, and
the wine was a very nice color.
The Apple flavor was the weirdest. I didn’t detect much apple flavor in it at all, but it was still a rather sweet but enjoyable sip. My Moscato friend liked this one as well.
I’ve saved the most traditional flavor for last: Orange. An orange mimosa is the default, and this flavor was good. It had a nice orange aroma and flavor, and the color is reminiscent of the flavor as well.
I don’t think I’m the target market for this particular beverage, but I do think I could be. If I used this as the base for a champagne cocktail, added some bitters and some acid (lemon or lime juice) it would be right up my alley. If you have someone in your life you’d like to share these with that might like them as is, rounding out the sweetness of these using those ingredients would be easy and delicious.
@erisire Thank you for this! I’m a big moscato drinker and I’m never quite sure if something is quite up that alley, so I really appreciate you adding your friend’s comments.
@erisire@SpoopySkeleton What a great review!!! Thank you. You are very good with the taste buds. The base of our wine IS a proprietory muscato blend that we make ourselves. So good catch. We just add a little bit of juice and carbonation… That’s what keeps this drink clean and refreshing with no bad after taste.
Curious on your blend, and while I understand it’s proprietary, is it just Moscato, or do you sneak in other varietals as well, without disclosing what they may be unless you care to?
@ern1 The pool, lake, river, beach, park, golf courses, festivals, concerts, and home. We have tried them at all of these locations and the drink works well.
@MimosaRoyale geez you all are busy. Maybe we can expedite the shipping so we can have them before we leave town on Oct 6th….that would be splendiferous.
We were too. And the good ol Stawberry Hill Boones Farm. Great memories. The only difference is we are flavored with 100% natural juice. And made with high quality California wine. I am not sure what they used back then for flavoring. We never really cared lol.
@MimosaRoyale I have a question regarding ingredient labeling and how the rules work on it. I’m really glad you explained the basic wine+juice beverage you create. But as you mention, the world of seltzers and also some wine-related beverages has really changed, a lot of new things, a lot already going away again. It was definitely a trendy thing for a bit but I’d say the market changed permanently in that people are now more open to and even seeking these “alternative” packaged beverages.
It was mentioned that you don’t post ingredients or nutritional table (i.e. calories, sugars, etc) on your product; neither do other wine products I’ve seen, though I’d welcome it especially for “flavored” wine and distilled products when you don’t really know WHAT you’re getting. Similarly, Beer doesn’t usually, unless the manufacturer wants to stress something about their “purity,” like when Bud went after Coors under allegations that it might contain HFCS. Bud stated, at least for a while, the 4 ingredients in it. (don’t think they still do that, though).
On the other hand, seltzers seem to have the labels always, so I’m assuming the laws are different. One thing I noticed with the trends in the “seltzers” is that some were listing “100 (or 90) calories” or saying “no sugar.” Recently I found several that in the fine print, contained Stevia. Now I don’t think I have a medical reason to avoid it, but I just don’t like it. So after I bought a pack like that, and thought “hmm, something funny here” I noticed the ingredient label and now I avoid that brand. So today I picked up a brand with 4 ingredients listed.
Sorry to ramble on… I guess for your product, are you ALLOWED to post the information if you wanted to? Or is even prohibited to say it, even though it’s required on other alcohol beverages? (Who would think that the laws regarding alcohol distribution would be bizarre or based on a century of corruption?). Do you think it would be good marketing to say what you told us here, about what is added, and calories, etc. I think it would!
Your are 100% correct. We think full disclosure and transparency is VERY important with anything you are putting in you and on you. That is why we are quick to answer any of those questions when they arise. We most likely will add it to the website for ease of information and transparency but are debating to put on the can. And here is why…
Time for a little Alcohol lesson. Lol
Any alcoholic beverage over 7% abv does not fall under FDA but only under the TTB jurisdiction. So that is why all wines and spirits do not put nutritional facts or ingredients on their labels. IF they do chose to put it on then they HAVE to also be regulated by FDA. And as everyone knows, dealing with any government agency is a pain. The less you talk to them the better.
So no one that is over 7%abv worries about label details, just eye appeal.
That being said, we agree with you and believe in transparency. Everyone is more health conscious and wants to know what “The Man” is slipping into our food supply. We have seen salt, sugar, hormones, and chemicals all added to our food and drinks. Causing diabetes, HTN, and hormonal imbalances on our population.
So we have applied and just recently got FDA approved.
FDA#: 15543223618
So we can add all the details to the can and bottles when we are ready to deal with FDA.
@MimosaRoyale Well, thank you, that explains the mystery I knew was hiding back there somewhere in government regulations relating to TLA (3 letter acronym) agencies.
I had no idea that it came down to “you crossed the 7% ABV County Line and now you are in a different Jurisdiction!”
Also, @ScottHarveyWine bought some. Hard to pass up that vote of confidence.
