FedEx already gave me a heads up! Looking forward to the pack’s arrival.
It’s here! Outside the “standard” items: the SmashMallows are Mocha Chip; the wines are Meh Zin, Broken Earth 2011 CdR, Coppola 2017 Sofia Rose, and Wellington 2013 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon.
Thanks, @WineDavid!
I just wanted to say way to go being SUPER accommodating! I already received my pack, just wanted to make sure that the efforts to keep everyone happy were acknowledged, as they often get overlooked. Cheers!
It takes a lot of planning and logistics to ship puppies to everyone.
Hi there! Since I don’t read these forums and I didn’t receive an email about the shipment, my first notification that this shipment was coming was the door tag telling me I had a package that required a signature.
Fortunately, it’s still pretty cold in my area, so the food didn’t suffer from 5 days on trucks and in a warehouse.
The rose was very good, and I’m happy to have another bottle of Wellington for my rack!
Got mine and couldn’t be happier! Thanks WCC for the goodies and great wine. Great idea throwing in the branded glasses; I will use them frequently to spread the word!
@clcaruthers What wines did you get?
@JOATMON I got a 2016 Rainstorm Oregon PN, a meh.com zin mix, a 2014 Silvertotem Cab, and a 2017 Sofia Rose. I saw someone mention a Wellington above, which would have been pretty awesome, but this pack is was an unbelievable deal in hindsight and all for an amazing concept/company. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you have not received yours yet!
@Thumperchick We are curious. My wife and I have ordered 13 cases of wine from CaseMates so far, and yet we have no idea how to sign up for the “Remote Party” feature. We are both VMP.
@jeffreywsnyder Scroll to near the end of the kickstarter page, while it may have been mentioned later elsewhere, this was the root.
@jeffreywsnyder did you back the remote party on kickstarter?
@jeffreywsnyder Given that there’s no Kickstarter “K” badge showing next to your name, just VMP, I think we have our answer right there. If you have VMP by virtue of having subscribed to it on meh to the tune of $5/month, then all you have is free shipping. The other Casemates Kickstarter benefits, such as T-shirts, Remote Party packs, coupons, etc., came with being a Kickstarter backer.
One of the Kickstarter backer levels was VMP status for a year, for $60. You might have looked at that and thought, why bother, that’s what I pay now. In fact, that’s what I thought initially. However given that backing at that level also conveyed a few $10 coupons that can be used on any Mediocre site, the deal turned out to be quite a bit sweeter than I realized at first. (And sweeter still for those early birds who picked it up for $50.)
The $100 level of backers got the choice of attending the launch party (held last weekend) in person, or getting a mystery package of food, drink, and other goodies, with which to hold their own party. They still had to pay an additional $60 if they wanted VMP.
@jeffreywsnyder I believe @InFrom summed it up nicely.
@Winedavid49 btw, how much more of the “meh zin mix” is there? Damn that was so unexpectedly enjoyable. Are the Castoro Zins similar to that one? I’ve never been a big zinfandel fan. Maybe I was just in a good mood?
@scott0210 i know right? not enough to put on casemates. i’ll try to save a few for you.
@Winedavid49 Hey thanks! I’ll take any you can spare!
