Ryder Estate wines are crafted from our sustainably farmed estate vineyards on California’s golden Central Coast. The Central Coast is blessed with cool ocean air that blankets our vineyards in the early morning until the warm sun peaks through the clouds in the afternoon. This wonderful combination of sea, sunshine, and soil makes perfect growing conditions for our grapes to develop intense flavors and elegant character that is true to each varietal. Our passion is to make the best wine each vintage to enhance life’s best moments. At Ryder Estate, we keep it real and make great wines you can trust.
After gentle crushing, the wine is allowed eight hours of skin contact to extract aromatics, flavor, and its exquisite, light pigment. The wine is then gently pressed, racked to stainless steel tanks, and slowly fermented to dryness at a cool 50°F to preserve the varietal aromatics.
Our Ryder Estate Pinot Noir Rosé is crisp, fragrant and refreshing. Strawberry, raspberry, and cherry aromas lead into a compelling palate of luscious fruit flavors framed by crisp, refreshing acidity. Pairs perfectly with a brunch of spinach and bacon quiche, a charcuterie platter on the patio, or a well-deserved staycation in your own backyard.

At Ryder Estate Wines, we take finding the time to play seriously. Whether you awaken to ride waves under a Pacific sunrise, hit the slopes to revel in the solitude of the first run of the day, or meet up with your bike crew for an after-work ride, the power of bringing play into your day is indisputable. Sure, there are a lot of great things to watch on Netflix, and sometimes a binge-fest is just what we need. And sometimes, we need a kick in the pants to realize that life begins at the end of our comfort zone. Maybe that’s training for your first 10K, maybe it’s jumping out of an airplane, or maybe it’s driving without a plan to discover what’s around the next bend. Life is about experiences. Wherever your journey takes you, #EnjoyTheRyde
Our wines are a true expression of the area, all packed with luscious fruit flavors that pair perfectly with every moment fit to raise a glass. Paddle out to open water, hike to see the view, and freestyle the first snowfall of the year. Let adventure take the wheel and then celebrate well, the Ryder Estate way.
Lab Rat Report for 2019 Ryder Estate Pinot Noir Rosé
I was very happy to find out early in the week that I had been selected as a rat for this rosé wine so I had time to prepare. I let the bottle settle for a day, and then paired it with chicken and apple curry on Thursday and pizza on Friday, both of which worked out well.
The bottle has an ROPP style twist cap. Inside is a nice translucent pink rosé that actually has a hint of legs to it.
Shown with a white background, it has an almost straw-like pale golden hue.
My first sip, with no recent food or drink on my palate, is very ‘grapey’ and I immediately notice the feeling of it coating my tongue, slightly oily. Taking a moment for my palate to acclimate and sipping again, I get an extremely distinct and pleasant taste of fresh strawberries.
Despite being a rosé, at no point do I get the impression that this is a particularly sweet wine, though neither does it seem particularly dry. It is absolutely ready to drink right now. While I ended up pairing it with a chicken and apple curry, I think this wine would work with almost anything as it is very light and refreshing.
On the second day after opening, this time with takeout pizza, I was fearing the worst as I have not historically known rosés to hold up particularly well to oxidation after being opened. I am happy to report, though, that the wine was almost identical to the first day, with the only real noticeable difference being in the lack of the fresh strawberry taste that had been so distinct earlier. Instead, I get more subdued peach-like notes.
I found this rosé to be very pleasant, and if I weren’t already overstocked I would order a case. It’s a steal at this price
@nklb I resemble the ‘overstocked’ comment. Great price for what sounds like a lovely rosé. I generally go for the Rhone style rosés, though. Although I never minded every sparkling rosé of pinot noir I ever met! Guess I need to open my mind more.

91 Points. Best Buy. This widely available, well-priced bottling is a great warm-weather salve. Aromas of raspberry, wet soil and ash lead into a sizzling palate of ripe plum, watermelon and crushed stone flavors. MK 11/1/20
@CorTot Nice! Sold me on this one. I was hesitant with the recent rosé offering bc of the apparent issues with leakage. This has a screwcap, great for a fresh rosé.
@sandbarhappy Probably the feeling of sweetness/non dry is just the fruitiness of the wine. Aside from the statement that it was fermented to dryness the numbers also indicate that it is dry.
I too got this last year 6 bottles not a case. Gave one to my sister - who asked for more. I didn’t have any In for a case this time. I don’t remember the finer points but it was a great summer drinker. Both over chilled in regular fridge and as it warmed up on deck
No love for VA? Cherry blossom time is fast approaching and my house needs pink to drink! Is it possible to double check the list of states, just to be sure?

Yay for rosé. The wine gods must think summer is coming even though it’s gonna be in the 20’s in South Carolina next week. (Sigh.)
At 13%, it’s probably pretty dry, but I’d love to see some RS data. Pretty please?
@sandbarhappy Notes say fermented to dryness, so should be dry or bone dry but that’s just a useless guess on my part
@kaolis Shame on me for only skimming those notes
@sandbarhappy I’ve picked these up at BevMo over the years and found it to be dry, it’s a riper style so maybe a little sweetness from the fruit.

@kkv123 or you find a state-mate who can receive and bring it down to you, assuming you are close to a border state that can receive it!
This will do wonderfully as the weather warms and the deck is sunny.
