The Secrets de Mar Red Blend is sourced from 30+ year old vines. It is a graceful wine; light, uplifting, and a joy to drink with tapas, light to medium weighted foods, and bbq.

On the palate: a very fresh, complex and soft wine, with a long finish.
Vineyard and Winemaker’s notes
Old vines over 30 years old.
Fermented and macerated in stainless steel tanks for approximately 20-25 days at 26-28°C. A soft press is made, although only the bleeding part of the wine is used. Malolactic fermentation for about 30 days in stainless steel. Finally, part of the wine rests in French oak barrels for about 4 months.

About The Winery
Winery: Clos Galena
Clos Galena was the brainchild of Miguel Pérez, a great wine enthusiast who shared his lifelong passion with his wife, Merche Dalmau. Merche and Miguel fell in love with the Priorat region and it was there that their dream became a reality — a sustainable winery inspired by the French châteaux.
The Priorat region is located in south Catalonia, influenced by the Mediterranean climate. Clos Galena’s vineyards are planted with regional grape varieties, grown in traditional non-terraced hillside vineyards, known as ‘costers’. The soils are full of ‘llicorella’, a brown and brittle slate that gives this region’s wines their signature mineral character.
Today, the Clos Galena winery is the culmination of the Pérez and Dalmau families’ continued dedication; it is their life’s work and they remain focused on making unique fine wines.
