@melwin I was at Mercy as well. I’m a Critical Care/ICU nurse. I think it was just a timing thing. Happens a lot - as a traveler, I needed a commitment about 4wks before current contract ended if hospital wanted to renew contract but HR doesn’t get 'er done in time or thinks they won’t need contract staff so traveler moves on. Worked out ok for me tho - I ended up signing on permanently at Cox in Branson and am very happy there.
Is anyone interested in splitting a case this round? This deal is just about at my upper limit per bottle since no shipping charge for me. (Do you all with the “K” icon get free shipping?)
@mehmerized I think most people with the K also got the V which comes with free shipping. I think there was a lower end K offering that didn’t come with the V but that seems pointless. I have a V icon on the meh.com site.
I need someone to explain the logistics of this to me as far as how we each pay our share of the case and how we ship and physically split the case. I was not involved in WW so I haven’t had experience with any of this.
@mehmerized I was just reminded of something else - coupons. Do we take turns using coupons, how many do we all have (I only have one,) and I’m sure I will have more questions as time goes on…
@melwin I haven’t done any splitting of wine cases, but have split othrr types of products. We just had one person pay and receive the shipment (usually whoever had the cheapest cost and most convenient destination). Then we just paid for it when we picked it up. (With case prices, we may want to prepay so no one will back out until we have a level of trust established.)
My thoughts on the actual physical splitting were to possibly hook up in Springfield if anyone goes there for shopping/etc. Or in Branson if anyone is planning any recreation/vacation trips.
@melwin Sadly, I have no coupons. I would think if you have a coupon that you want to use, you would be the buyer on that purchase, use the coupon, and that amount would be “credited” to your cost of the split price. I think it’s only fair that the coupon-holder gets all the value towards their part of the purchase.

As I am planning to retire soon, one of my first priorities is to get out of ILLinois. I have s/w Missouri and n/w Arkansas on the radar as areas I’m considering to move to. One drawback of Arkansas is the lack of shipping, so it’s nice to know there might be some “Mehleggers” in Missouri!
@Mark_L Coming from Illinois myself, I absolutely love this area! People are friendly and there is so much to do here! I’d recommend the Branson area - a lot of people retire here.
@Mark_L Oh, and if you’re a firearms/hunting aficionado, a decent amount of gun clubs/ranges around here and hunting/fishing permits are very reasonably priced. And if you’re interested in CCW, I got my carry permit back in 3 days!! (Also have constitutional carry as well as open carry here.) So very different from IL in so many ways!!! We dont miss IL one bit!!

The order says it’s still processing, but that it’s supposed to be delivered between the 5th and the 7th. I’m having a hard time believing that will happen if it hasn’t shipped yet, but we’ll see. I hope it comes this week because I’m going to need a bottle or two next weekend after the week I’m going to have.

@Mark_L SW MO has a lower cost of living than NWA and we have lots of great areas for outdoor recreation if that’s your thing.
