Summer shipping 2026
0So summer shipping finally started, a few weeks after summer weather arrived but hey. As we all know hold option should be available year 'round…but whatever… I’m wondering how inventories are being handled between the buckets this year, last year was a cluster if I recall. And last year, if you chose to ship now, wasn’t it expedited shipping, not standard? Seems this year it is hold until October (or is it December) or ship standard.
Ok, went back and looked at an offer from last summer, if you chose to ship now… “Packages have been upgraded to 2-day transit for increased protection.”
Apparently that protection is no longer considered necessary. WD is one stubborn b*astard when it comes to shipping right? ha!!

Although “If you want protected summer shipping, click here” is mentioned, but no details…is that expedited shipping or maybe just styro…? Which in that case bfd
I think the wording suggests it’s cold chain across the country to local hub and then single-day transit on the delivery vehicle.
