Untappd equivalent for wine?
4I’ve been negligent in tracking wines I like/dislike mostly because I can’t find a good/easy way to store that info. I’ve tried the Vivino app a couple times but have been disappointed with the interface (can’t find exactly the right version of a wine, etc.). What apps/websites do 'mates use? I don’t really have a cellar, so I don’t need “cellar management” tools, but I would like a quick and easy way to track which wines I like/dislike, similar to Untappd for beer.

I’ve been looking for this for YEARS. Any app developers want to make us one?
@neuroticsilence I’ve actually been playing with the idea of creating something like this (although not something specific to wine). It would probably start out as a web app though, rather than a native phone app.
Cellar Tracker will let you do that. Just get an account and write tasting notes when you drink something. You don’t need to use its inventory tracking capabilities.
I second the CellarTracker recommendation. They have an app, too. One of the things I like about the app, besides inventory tracking, is the photo search capability. When I’m out shopping, I can just take a pic of the bottle of wine I’m looking at and it’ll do the search for me. Works great. I also use the normal text searching when at a restaurant and I want to see what others have said about it, etc. As @Klezman said, you can just enter your own notes even without an inventory.
PS: I use Untappd for beer, too!
I’ve yet to use the CT app on my android, guess I should try it. I’m just using the web browser and mobile interface, but iirc, select full site.

@Shawn can we please have a CT auto-sig (profile checkbox & CT UserID, nothing as fancy as a custom sig)?
Maybe a Mehdown “/CT” that auto-links to your CT from your CT ID in your profile? Or “/CT #”?
Also, a “/ilCesareFP” slash command for @ilCesare that auto-first-posts his vintage details and CT link. As well as possibly auto-linking CaseRat
reviews.

@shawn Thanks for the feeback. Since its my account and my browser likely has cookies with auth tokens in them, I didn’t get the same (lack of) view.
I’ll look into either making it public or paying up to enable that feature. Maybe it is only visible to other CT users. Thanks!
