I only found out about the 24 hour sale last week (I would usually check the site on Saturday or Sunday, didn’t even know I was missing sales on Friday). So, you definitely could’ve done a better job letting us know about it.
I like it. A good opportunity for nice wines that might be limited. And adds a little urgency to the deal for you. So far they’ve been solid. Well, mostly
@Winedavid49 Just guessing it’s good for you to get some excitement going into the weekend. And not have the same wine languish all weekend. I could be wrong but based on past woot offers I’m thinking you don’t get as many hits over the weekend so why not squeeze another fun wine in on Friday. The last incarnation of wine.woot was daily, so nothing new there. @rpm and @rjquillin, hey you guys are pros, you don’t need days to decide, a few minutes should do it! ha! just teasing, Cheers!
I’m rather in the camp of liking the additional time to interact, when the producer elects to participate. That just doesn’t work with a one day deal.
Save Friday for those producers that are mute (their loss), or offers with limited availability.
Might even consider a non-wine offers; Brandini comes to mind, but we know the story on that.
Other than that, I’m with @rpm and @jml326; second chance offers that don’t need the banter.
I like it - but the rat bottles need to be sent out and reported on promptly. In general a bit more lead time for rat bottles would be good (when possible). The one-day deal just needs more coordination to keep the community aspect going. I bet a winemaker like Lucas Meeker or Larry Schaffer would have no problem ginning up discussion over a single day deal
But also reruns and limited quantity offerings obviously make sense for that slot as well.
Not enough time to think about it and read the Rats.
It could be great to use as a rebuy/second chance model from previously offers.
@jml326 Great Idea!
You should only use it for rebuy/second chance offers. Not enough iMessage for participation and rattage.
It depends upon what is being offered.

@fring I’m sure there will be more than enough opportunities for you to spend your $$ going forward
