Here in Pacific Northwest, there are several good quality producers doing cans in either 250ml or 375ml. Mostly white and rose. Decent quality Pinot Gris for example.
Sometimes available in 4-packs. Even the Costco has had the 4-packs sometimes and I notice they sell quickly because if I go back for more, they are all gone.
@CruelMelody@Winedavid49 Maybe not a good thing to admit… a few days ago I grabbed a “beer” in the evening out of a refrigerated cooler chest I have outside my front door (long story…) anyway, I took a few sips and “this is strange” and it was a Washington Rose wine, which was very nice, but not the beer I expected.
Interesting article last week in the Wall Street Journal on the same topic. I have tried a few canned wines when attending outdoor concerts, and haven’t found anything that I think would be interesting to the educated wine palates here on CaseMates.
@Winedavid49 Too bad Gruet doesn’t ship to OH. Love their sparkling wines, and had the opportunity to drink and buy their still wines when I was at their Santa Fe tasting room last year. They were damn tasty too!

My issue seems to be a volume per dollar issue. I forget that a 12oz can is roughly half of a bottle, but I get sticker shock at $8 per can!
It’s awesome! Lower entry cost to try something new, and the cheaper packaging for the winery allows higher quality wine at a lower price.
VAN GOGH! MANGO! TANGO! AWESOME!
@CruelMelody in theory.
@Winedavid49 I really liked a couple box wines you sold on the last sight too. The biggest problem with cans of wine is I chug it without thinking

@mrn1 yea, that’s what prompted us. House wine is a partner (same folks to provide Gruet). but not sure we can pull it off.

@mrn1 @Winedavid49 Well, while you’re at it, see if you can wrest some cans away from Bonny Doon. I liked the sparkling Rose I had from them.
@InFrom @mrn1 noted.
There are social drawbacks. “Honey, would you like a nice can of wine?”
@NightGhost welcome back to the daylight, if for only a moment…
