TASTING NOTES:
“Aromas of raspberry, plum, cherry. Hints of coffee bean. Fruit forward. On the palate, bright bright acid. Leaner, old world minerality and structure. This wine begs for food. Toned down tannins. Mouthfeel is balanced and young. Slightly twiggy. Long plus acidic finish. Goes for minutes. Old world minerality without greenness. Long and lingering cranberry aftertaste.” (AbV 14.1%, pH 3.57, TA 5.50 g/L)

Galatoire’s is a famed restaurant located in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Over 116 years old, it’s been run by the same family the entire time. Until 1999, there was no such thing as a reservation, and you still have to wait in line to sit on the first floor. Men are required to wear a jacket to dinner and all day on Sunday. It’s bourgeois as heck, the last big name old-school business left in the French Quarter.
