Orange Muskrat

TASTING NOTES:
Orange Muscat - “…mix of honeysuckle and fresh tangerine peel perfumes the nose. The bright, dry palate offers honeydew melon and peach flavors with a creamy, smooth finish that ends with a pop of lively acidity.” (97% Orange Muscat; 3% Riesling)

Riesling - “…mix of honeysuckle and juicy ripe peach perfumes the nose. The off dry palate offers nectarine and peach flavors with a creamy, smooth finish. This elegant wine also shows hints of citrus blossoms.”

TANGENTIALLY RELATED FACT to help make conversation over this wine:
Despite being called “rats,” the muskrat doesn’t belong to the genus Rattus. In fact, they solely occupy their own, Ondatra. Though rooted in the Algonquin name for the animal, muscascus, they became known as musk-beavers and eventually the muskrat.
