About Smoking Gun Wines
Back in the 1800’s, guy by the name of John Wienberger was jumped by a gang of stagecoach robbers. John went full Clint Eastwood and took them all out, protecting himself and the other passengers. He would later be one of the first winemakers of the Napa Valley with his St. Helena winery in 1873. In honor of Weinberger’s contribution to Napa wine history, Cole Ballentine created the Smoking Gun label and continues to produce trailblazing Cabernet Sauvignon.

TASTING NOTES:
“With its ruby color this wine opens up with bursts of ripe black cherry. Balanced spices invite more anticipation in the wine. Fig compote, black fruits and unsweetened chocolate round out the mouth. Lingering soft finish of sweet oak and smoke from the toasted barrels finish out this wine with good balance and structure.”

While Eastwood’s character doesn’t technically have a name, he is credited as “Joe” in A Fistful of Dollars.

Also, Boba Fett may have in part been inspired by his character.

And Roland Deschain from Stephen King’s The Dark Tower was definitely inspired by him.
