77 was a weak year in California, late rain devastating the Cabernet that was being left on the vine for more ripeness. Only a few good Cabs were made. Inglenook harvested early and made one of the best. Caymus was also good.
@rpm we had two bottles of '77 Stag’s Leap SLV for a friends round birthday of the same year. One bottle was a bit off but the second was really suprising once it opened up, drank over an hour or two. I’d drink it again if the cork was in good shape and it was stored correctly!
I have no idea how the SL would compare, as it’s the only '77 I’ve tried. Have you tasted it? I would be interested in your comparison!
“Make Those Miracles Happen” by Jon Keyworth to celebrate the Broncos first trip to the Super Bowl. He was also their running back. Alas, the miracle was snatched away.
“Psycho Killer”, from Talking Heads 77.
@InFrom You’re talking a lot, but you’re not saying anything
