Holding options?
2I’m not sure if this has been discussed yet. Will customers be granted the option to place purchased wine on hold? This is specifically regarding customers in states with shipping in extreme temperature issues.
I have a “no order wine” window between beginning of April through beginning of November. I’ve had too many unexpected surprises otherwise. Other sites offer cellaring temporary and permanent, I guess I more so want to know if you guys have thought along the same line.

Oh, that would be a great feature. With wine.woot I had to stop ordering stuff about a month before a long vacation. I couldn’t get in on the final woot for just that reason. FedEx only provides for up to two week vacations, so if one is going to be gone longer, there’s the risk of the wine getting shipped back, which has happened to me. (Will Casemates be using FedEx? I don’t know what options one has with other shipping companies.) It sure would be good to have a delay option at the source.
This is something many on ww wished for, and I’d gladly pay for, but likely wcc will still be doing shipping logistics so I’d not expect any changes from what we’ve known, sadly.
Related q:. Shipping will be from the vineyard’s location or warehouse, correct? Not from Carrollton?
Also, if CaseMates is the shopping cart, not the seller of record, how do sales taxes work?
State(s) where the winery operates?
States where Mediocre and/or WCC operate?
Both?
