Resulting from a 2015 Washington vintage that saw higher than average heat, this Riesling provides concentrated color and flavors. Right away, the vivid golden straw color is apparent. On the nose, fruit forward peach and pineapple notes mingle with citrus components of lime zest and orange peel, complemented by underlying clove and rose petal elements. Rich flavors of pineapple, apricot and pear spread over the palate, followed by a balanced acidity highlighted with a nuanced grapefruit and lemon finish.

We were pilgrims to Washington. Since our first Washington harvest in 2005, we have embraced the state. In turn, the state has embraced us as kindred spirits of the Pacific Northwest.
We make wine for wine lovers, simple as that. These are artisan-crafted wines, affordable enough to enjoy every day. My family has always called this our business plan: Integrity. It works for us, and we will always work to bring you the very best.
We treat our wines with dignity and respect. We employ winemaking techniques usually reserved only for the smallest boutique wineries. We respect our vineyard partners, and let the quality of the grapes speak for themselves as we craft North by Northwest.

@rjquillin Like others have said: an easy drinker. I don’t have any specific notes as I only had the first bottle to taste and then packed it away for the heat, but it wasn’t too sweet and was dry enough for my red wine palate. At this price as we head into summer? It’s a downright steal. I bought it for hotter weather, and I’m looking forward to those long summer evenings sipping it on my patio.
How much more are you saving by buying a full case?

2015 King Estate NxNW Riesling - $30 = 33.32%
@CorTot@Winedavid49 you know my rose/white palate, i think. Would i like this? I am looking for a refreshing, acid driven white that is not sweet or brooding. Similar to the j dusi although i know a different grape. Have not had luck with reislings in the past as i find them cloying. Bring it Cortot!
I am not a big white drinker. I bought a case of this in case there was an occasion for whites. I have pulled it out a few times. It always goes quickly. Easy to drink. People enjoy it, although it might not impress a white wine snob. Hard to beat the price. Cant go wrong really.
Ordered a case the first time around…still have a little bit left. Will have to decide if I need to stock up again, but this is a great price for a nice, easy drinker. I haven’t found many $5 bottles out there this tasty.
@CorTot@dave@rjquillin@Twich22 I find the gifs annoying but what I really enjoyed was having to explain to my boss why Olivia Wilde’s tits were all up in my face. So thanks for that.
Really pleasant. I got this last time. I was not a fan when I purchased it; however, it has been 90 plus degrees as of late and now I realllly like this. Very refreshing. I noted some pear flavor/green apple yesterday.
@cdn1127@ddeuddeg I appreciate the offer. W/ no guarantee it will be in NY before you head to Wooster, the fact I can’t be at the dinner this year and we would need @chipgreen to be the intermediary, I’ll pass, and save the favor of shipping to NY for more significant future offer. Cheers!

Was great the first time…in for another case. Actually have a bottle with us on vacation in Hilton Head so may have to crack open tonight knowing I have more coming!
My aunt from SD called me last week. She had a funny accent going on but she explained how she “LOVED this NxNW dry ‘Rye-sling’ that I left”. I recall her saying she doesn’t like Rieslings, I told her to give this one a shot. I may have to get a case shipped to her. I’m debating weather to ship some here where it’s climbing up to the 90’s as well. Hmm 25 hours to think on this.

This is a vibrantly aromatic wine, with notes of honeysuckle, lime leaf and peach. The palate drinks dry, with tart acidity and a broad feel, dipping a bit in the middle before coming back together.

@kaolis In my experience, yes. The date that Fedex gives me has always been accurate and has fallen within the range that casemates gives. The tricky part for me is the time of day that Fedex likes to deliver.
@kaolis
GÅRD VINTNERS DON ISIDRO RED BLEND 12 bottles ordered March 13 delivered April 2
CHARLES SMITH VIOGNIER 12 bottles ordered April 4 delivered April 11
@kaolis Us too, as advertised with all 24 cases since January.
FedEx tracking has been accurate with only one exception. The exception came about due to a substitute driver too lazy to bring the shipment up our very steep driveway.
From now on we intend to reroute to our local FedEx store just 1.5 miles away.
@kaolis I haven’t tried, but the option has been there. The first two cases I got were scheduled to arrive on a day I had off. After that I started having them delivered to a friend nearby who has a door guy to sign for things since I’m almost never home in the early afternoon when they arrive.
I waited until almost the last minute, but I’m in for another case. Already through about half of the first one and this stuff is too good (and cheap) to not have a bunch of for the summer.
I know summer is ending, but how soon might we get more of this? I’m having some tonight it’s quite enjoyable. I’d even say it’s quaffable, but I don’t want to discredit how nice this/pleasant this wine is.

This was delicious. Get in my gullet tired-sharp-string
It looks like this is a dry riesling? When can we expect a dessert wine offering?
@MHBoston Although this is not a dessert wine, the price sure is sweet!
Loved it the first time. Got the case this time
@tklivory

Yea, this is a sick Deal. Had to run it again ( first time)
@Winedavid49 You’re 100% right, Candace loved it and for the price we couldn’t find anything local to beat the QPR here. So in for a case.
@Winedavid49 absolutely! Ordered a case,
great drinker for the beach
@Winedavid49 Couldn’t resist. Don’t let me down!
@Winedavid49 when repeating offers like this is there thought to allow more than one case purchase?

@losthighwayz @Winedavid49
It’s light, crisp and dry. It’s a good cheap buy. It won’t make you cry. So I’d give it a try.
@CorTot @losthighwayz @Winedavid49 My, my, my.
Any additional specs or rats?
Loved this one last time.

How about a separate forum for the Katzenjammer kids and their T&A gifs? Some of us would like to participate while at work.

Grrrr.
Oops. Let’s try that again.
OOPS, SORRY. WE CAN’T SHIP THIS TO CT.
Any possibility the winery can ship direct to thirsty peeps in OH?
@mrn1 I second the vote for OH!
@cdn1127 @mrn1 You can ship it to NY, and I can bring it to Wooster next month. https://casemates.com/forum/topics/scott-and-jana-come-to-wooster-oh

@TechnoViking Too funny.
“Just do it”
If I don’t like these, FedEx will get plenty of donations for all the deliveries they handle for me; including non FedEx parcels.
Another repeat customer on this one, in for a case. Not too sweet for me, which is unusual for a Riesling.
Easy summer drinker

/giphy silly-abnormal-produce
This is a no brainer! Nice, balanced, semi-dry Reisling from a solid NW producer. Waiting for their Rose to come up again.
Yes, I love the Rose!
I know everyone is stating they are in for a case, but the wife said get the 4.
