2018 Mustache Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, Lodi, California
The wine is more intense with darker violet hues. The aromas have characteristics of blackberry, cassis, and plum; with elements of vanilla and cedar. The wine has a fuller body with flavors of darker fruits coupled with peppercorn, clove and anise, which lend an earthier profile that is balanced and has a long finish. This wine would go well with grilled salmon with a dill butter sauce, roasted chicken with garlic and rosemary, or rib eye Philly cheese steak sandwich.
2017 Mustache Vineyards Pinot Noir, Lodi, California
The first thing to note with this wine is its bright cherry red color. The aromas begin with raspberry and blackberry bramble, mixed with vanilla bean, and clove. The entry is filled with crisp acidity and flavors of raspberry, strawberry and cranberry. The medium body gives way to spicier notes of fresh sage, dried thyme and coriander. This fruit forward wine will complement any meal but especially if served with roasted chicken with Provincial herbs, Ahi tuna sashimi with a toasted sesame soy sauce, or pork medallion with a cherry compote glaze.
2018 Mustache Vineyards Zinfandel, Lodi, California
The wine has a deep cherry color. The aromas are fruit forward with candied raspberry and strawberry mixed with darker fresh fruits and subtle vanilla undertones. The wine has a full body with flavors of bright red raspberry, and cherry blended with jammy strawberry and a coco powder finish. The wine has several layers of fruit, soft tannin structure and along finish with balanced acidity. This wine would pair well with pasta, stews, steak, and cheese plates.

2018 Mustache Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, Lodi, California
The grapes come from vineyards that
benefit from the deep and rich soils that make-up the Lodi Appellation. The fruit benefits from warm sunny days and cool nights as a result of gentle breezes coming from the San Francisco Bay and the Delta waterways. This allows the fruit to mature and have a proper balance between fruit character and structure. The fruit was harvested at optimal ripeness and was crushed and fermented in stainless steel vessels. The wine was then aged in experienced barrels for twelve months. The blend was then created and prepared for bottling. It has produced a fresh fruity style wine that is sure to please the hipster in you.

I’m buying again. Picked these up last year and really enjoyed them. I’m not really qualified to critique wines; just Joe Shmoe who likes reds. Also gave a bottle to my coworker, Jane Shmoe, no relation. She loved it. She’ll be very excited to receive another bottle, or two.
Blick! Remind me not to buy this again. The Cab is almost drinkable, but the Zin kind of resembles some sort of berry pancake syrup and the Pinot reminds me of bad rose!
Haven’t opened yet, but one of our bottles of Pinot is many shades lighter than the other 3. It actually looks like a rose. Anyone else experience similar in their order?
So, last year I got a case of these guys: very decent wines for the price.
This year I went in autobuy: I knew they were decent.
And, instead, they were not. The Pinot Noir is so light in color it looks watered down. AND it tastes horrible.
Cabernet: meh. Not that good, but drinkable.
Zinfandel: decent.
In short: literally a mixed case. Probably won’t risk it next year

Got a case last year as well. Totally decent everyday wine. And for that price? In for a case again
Looking at the sales map…hey, nothing wrong with a little RS right?

@longtones Me too! I opened as well. Simply the WORST pinot noir I ever drank. Unbearable
