This 2021 Sonoma Revere Chardonnay is expressively fruit-driven, with compelling aromas of mango, clementine, and pineapple, with hints of toasted marshmallow. In the mouth, the wine is creamy and with bright acid, showing flavors of apricot, creme brûlée, and cinnamon lingering throughout the finish.
Enjoy this extroverted Chardonnay with roasted chicken served over a butter lettuce salad with shaved Manchego cheese and toasted pumpkin seeds.

The pleasure of good wine is not just about balanced flavors, a fragrant nose, or lush colors. It’s also about the moment when that first sip is taken, with family or friends, over favorite foods or during special occasions.
Michael Pozzan creates wines for moments like those, wines that capture the best of the varietals he blends, vintage after vintage. His long-time experience with growers from premier Napa and Sonoma allows him to seek out and hand-select exceptional fruit each growing season in addition to his own Calistoga vineyard. These are wines of high quality and exceptional value — wines you’ll want to share with those you love, and with those who love wine. Michael Pozzan Winery currently produces 100,000 cases per year and distributes wine under several labels sold throughout the United States.
Michael’s wine heritage runs deep, from his great-grandfather’s vineyards in Piedmont Italy to his family plantings in Sonoma County. With a passion for winemaking, Michael embarked on his journey to produce fine wines in 1991. With over 30 years in the industry, Michael is now joined by his two sons Dante and Matthew, as they continue to grow driven by strong relationships and a commitment to producing personality-rich wines.
Our commitment to crafting exceptional wines spans generations, tracing back to Italy in the late 1800’s. Today Michael Pozzan Winery proudly produces wines that capture the essence of the varietals and the character of the vintage. With our own vineyard estate and connections to Napa and Sonoma growers, we ensure the highest quality and exceptional value in every bottle.

It never fails. I try to do a dry week and I get a labrat email. This is the third time it’s happened to me so ha ha Bacchus. Ha ha. You win. Ha ha ha. But alas, I am but a humble and loyal lab rat, who will gleefully postpone my dry week until Monday.
First, we had to get a cat scan of the bottle:
With that out of the way, I removed the cork and got to pouring. Standard chard color - pale straw yellow. The nose has hints of yellow apple and wood. It smells ‘thin’ in that there’s not a lot of noticable aroma to it - but that could be because I chilled it immediately since the bottle was so warm when I received it.
It looks thin in the glass - there’s not a lot of viscosity there, so I don’t expect this wine to linger as long as others do. A second pass at nosing it finds the same yellow apple and wood.
The first sip was not quite tart enough for me, but my husband loved it. He said it reminded him of sake in a way. I can kind of see what he’s getting at - it has a soft and round flavor (his preference) vs a sharp flavor (my preference). We paired it with turkey patties topped with egg and kimchi coleslaw, which may have been a little bit of a mistake. This wine is DELICATE and the spice from the kimchi nearly killed any discernible flavor other than “wood” for me.
So I let it sit for a while, and came back to it with a snack of tzatziki and sugar snap peas. This pairing was a completely different experience. Lite and fruit forward, with much more acidity. There’s a fleeting undertone of marshmallow, but this wine does not linger for long at all. I feel like it needs to be paired with something just as delicate, like fish or chicken.
To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of chards to begin with, but I’d order this if I was having a lighter dinner and this wine was available.
Still, I wanted more tart. I wanted more stone-fruit and more punch. That’s not to say it’s a bad wine, because it’s not. It’s just not my personal preference when it comes to whites.
However, the husband liked it, and I have a friend that I know will adore it, so I think it’s a good buy for the price.

Good day, all,
I had the privilege of ratting this Sonoma Reserve Chardonnay. Pop and pour from the fridge, the nose is limited with hints of lemon and an herbal note I couldn’t quite nail down. Color is pale straw without any visual signs of aging. Body is medium+ with a nice amount of acidity. The Chardonnay is bone dry, as it should be, but has a nice rounded flavors that reminded me of a sweet lemon cheesecake. This is not a super nuisanced wine, but it’s a good crowd pleaser. I would pair it with lighter appetizers or meals. Price point is a good value for this style Chardonnay.
Cheers!
