About… Meh?
The Meh Corporation was founded in 1976 on the streets of New Jersey after Steve Jobs kicked presidential-hopeful John Irkowitz Meh out of his garage in San Francisco for tampering with the prototype Macintosh. A despondent Meh hiked from coast to coast in a quest of self-reflection until he happened upon a peculiar tee stump. The rings on the stump formed a face, a flat expression with blank eyes and a simple grimace. In a dehydration-addled episode, he tore that stump from the earth with his bare hands and carried it with him. By the time he reached New Jersey, he passed out in front of the Cape May zoo, stump-face still in-hand. The apes there took him in, nursed him back to health on Campbell’s soup and salt water taffy. These apes are now our respected board of trustees. In honor of them, the tradition of the Mad Ape Den was born, as well as the Mad Ape Den wine. John Meh is now an insurance agent in Modesto, California and married to Wendy Peffercorn.
