We have been to the French Quarter Festival in New Orleans MANY times. The food and the music are exceptional. It is true that it is crowded some years, it kind of depends on the weather. Oh, and their version of an open container law is that you are expected to have an alcoholic beverage if you are in public
When I used to work crafts at the Southern renfaire in Agoura and the Northern faire at Black Point Novato, we’re talking 60’s and 70’s here, it was a keg of Guinness we killed each weekend. Good times, good food and plenty of debauchery after the faire closed to the public, especially over the three day holiday weekends.
