I was thinking isn’t gyros also the singular term, being a Greek word it ends in “os” as many words do? It doesn’t necessarily indicate plural.
So when I looked it up, it shows up as gyro or gyros as both being acceptable words even for just a single one. So I guess you could say “Gyros is my hero” but then it wouldn’t rhyme. Plus if they are delicious, as they usually are, you might want more than one.
