I’m in favor of lower intervention wine, if you can get away with it, but I don’t think it’s more “pure” (I really hate that whole moralizing aspect) and I roll my eyes hard at the idea that so2 is bad. Personally, I don’t think brett etc means you’re “being true to the vineyard”, I think it’s being true to the bacteria in your cellar, haha.
make the best wine you can however you can. It’s all just tools in the tool box. If you’ve got great grapes and you’re just trying to get as little in the way as possible, great. If everything is going wrong, though, do what you need to.
